BRAIN CANCER

A brain tumor or intracranial neoplasm occurs when abnormal cells form within the brain.

HEAD AND NECK CANCER

Is cancer that starts in the lip, oral cavity (mouth), nasal cavity (inside the nose), paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx or parotid glands.

THYROID CANCER

Occurs in the cells of the thyroid –a butterfly- -shaped gland located at the base of your neck, just below your adam’s apple.

ESHOPAGHEAL CANCER

(or oesophageal cancer) is cancer arising from the esophagus—the food pipe that runs between the throat and the stomach.

LUNG CANCER

Is a malignant lung tumour characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung cancer.

BONE CANCER

A bone tumor, (also spelled bone tumour), is an uncommon cancer that begins in a bone.

Definition of Cancer

ü  Cancer is a disease of our cells.

ü  Cancer A disease caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body:

ü  Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells anywhere in a body. These abnormal cells are termed cancer cells, malignant cells, or tumor cells.

WHAT CAUSES CANCER ?

      Many things can cause cell abnormalities and have been linked to cancer development. Some cancer causes remain unknown while other cancers may develop from more than one known cause. The following is a listing of major causes.

ü Chemical or toxic compound exposures: Benzene, asbestos, nickel, cadmium, vinyl chloride, benzidine, N-nitrosamines, tobacco or cigarette smoke (contains at least 66 known potential carcinogenic chemicals and toxins), and aflatoxin

ü Ionizing radiation: Uranium, radon, ultraviolet rays from sunlight, radiation from alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray-emitting sources

ü Pathogens: Human papillomavirus (HPV), EBV or Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis viruses B and C, Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpes virus (KSHV), Merkel cell polyomavirus, Schistosoma spp., and Helicobacter pylori; other bacteria are being researched as possible agents.

ü  Genetics: A number of specific cancers have been linked to human genes and are as follows: breast, ovarian, colorectal, prostate, skin and melanoma; the specific genesHead and neck cancer is cancer that starts in the lip, oral cavity (mouth), nasal cavity (inside the nose), paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx or parotid glands.

Apa yang menyebabkan kanker?

Symptoms

Symptom of Brain tumors iclude;

Headches, seizures (fits), persistent nausea, vomiting and drawsiness, mental or behavioural changes, such as memory problems, paralysisone side of the body, vision problems, or speech problems

Cause

Aside from exposure to vinyl chloride or ionizing radiation, there are no known environmental factors associated with brain tumors.

Penyebab

Selain paparan vinil klorida atau radiasi pengion, tidak ada faktor lingkungan yang diketahui terkait dengan tumor otak.
